Our Savior’s Sunday School News!!
The month of October seemed to just fly by. We had a great month. We put together 8 School Kits and 5 Health Kits to be sent to the needy. Thanks everyone for your monetary contribution for this project. We sang in church on the 21st and had almost 100% participation, thanks kids, great job! The last Sunday of the month, the kids had fun decorating pumpkins.
The month of November will be a busy one:
*We will be singing in church on Sunday, November 11th, be sure and mark your calendars.
*On November 18th we will be having special guests at Sunday School. Ellie Kone’ (Werren) will give a talk on the time she spent in the Peace Corps in Burkina, Africa, and will be joined by her husband, Abou, whom she met in Burkina. It will be very interesting and parents and others from the congregation are welcome to come and listen to Ellie and ask her questions. The Sunday School had sent them money collected from their Prayer Banks to help Ellie purchase medical supplies.
*November 25th we will begin practice for our Christmas Program to be held on Sunday, December 9th, at 10:30 Worship service. It is very important that the kids attend Sunday School on the 25th and December 2nd, for practice.
Looking ahead to December, again Christmas program is the 9th of December and then we will be taking the rest of the Sundays in December off, as there are family celebrations beginning on the 16th and teachers need to be off.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving everyone!!
