Women's Guild
The Bible Study will be held on Tuesday, February 2nd, at Ruth Signer’s house at 1:30pm. We are studying the book of Luke. Come join us & bring a friend. Quilting will be at Grace Marty’s in Monroe, February 9th & 16th, 9:30am. Noon we will eat our sack lunch, have dessert & coffee, along with good conversation. Come join us in fellowship while we sew quilts for Lutheran World Relief & Mississippi. Donations can be brought to the church any time. Donna Elmer
Jordan 150th Celebration
Jordan Lutheran church will begin celebrating 150th Anniversary of it’s founding during the up coming church year on Sunday, December 27th 2009. We are planning a commemorative church service, with a meal following and short program thereafter. Our theme for the 150th Anniversary celebration is "Remembering and Celebrating 150 years of the Lord’s Blessings and Grace." As part of our program in December, we intend to display a number of photographs and present stories about the founding of Jordan Lutheran church and “earlier times”. If any member has family photographs, stories, etc. that they would like to have included in our display and program, please contact a member of the 150th Anniversary committee- Gary Luhman, Dave Johnson, Gene Ellingson, Carol Clark.
Jordan 150th Anniversary Celebration Jordan will begin celebrating 150 years of continual worship and service on December 27th @ 10:30 am church service. Note- there will be no 8:30 am service at Our Savior’s. Pastor Ronald Nybroten will be our guest speaker, with Pastor Dennis leading the Liturgy & Communion services. There will be a Soup Luncheon at Noon, with Soups, Homemade Breads & Rolls, Lefse, Norwegian goodies, Desserts, & Salads. with Free will offering going to Food Pantry in green County. There will be a program at 1:30 pm that will consist of: Singing, skits, Historical Interpretations of the founding of Jordan. Photos of Jordan will be on display. Jordan members are in the process of putting together a History of Jordan in a soft bound book, 20-25 pages. Anyone wanting to contribute pictures, articles, or anything of past events please contact Gary Luhman.
