South Wayne Food Pantry List
Hunger affects many in Black Hawk School District. School children, families, singles, elderly and home bound can all be affected and there is an ongoing need for food items. You can help! Each month we will be collecting food and health care items on the 1st & 2nd Sunday of the month. Please check the list below and purchase items needed by those in our area experiencing hard times. Place items in the box in the coat room at Our Savior's or on the table at Jordan and they will be delivered to the food pantry before the third Thursday. You can also take items directly to the South Wayne fire house between the hours of 9 and 11 Monday through Friday. If you know of anyone that could use help, please let them know about the food pantry. Why not make this a family affair? Each member can choose an item to donate each month.
Our Savior's is responsible for taking care of the food pantry in May and August. If you are interested and have the time to volunteer, please contact Carol Stoudt at 482-3708. 2-3 volunteers are needed each of those months.
Black Hawk Area Food Pantry is open the third Thursday of the month from 3 – 6pm at the South Wayne Fire House.
