Saturday Night service
There will be a Saturday Eve service on May 12th, 6pm, Our Savior's Lutheran church.
Bible Stick Appeal
Is someone you love or someone you know in the military? If so they are probably far from home and church, You can help bring them closer to their faith by donating to the "Bible Stick" appeal. Each stick is a mini mp3 player with the Bible on it. Military personnel can request a stick for themselves and if they are married and have children it includes a Bible stick for the spouse and a DVD for their children. At the moment there are more requests than there are Bible sticks to go around. You can help by donating $25 to the Bible stick appeal. Our Savior's Board of Missions has set a goal of raising enough funds to buy 50 Bible sticks before Memorial Day 2012. Will you help with this appeal? Our Mission is to help others grow in their faith and this would be a wonderful way to reach out to many who are in the Military. Please consider helping us to reach our goal Jordan church is also doing Military Bible sticks and would like to have 50 purchased by Memorial day 2012. You may put your contribution in the offering marked "Military Sticks". There is a goal sheet in the Narthex at Jordan church to see where we are with donations.
Walk for Life
Saturday, May 12th, 9am.Care Net Pregnancy Center of Green County is offering an opportunity to support life. There will be a Walk for Life Benefit and there are two locations you may walk at, Hope community Center in Monroe and Living Word Church Brodhead. South Wayne Community Rummage Sales
South Wayne will be holding there annual Rummage Sales on May 12th from 8am-2pm. A Bake Sale for "Relay For Life" will be held at the Berget's-1275 Hwy 11 West, South Wayne. Bike/Walk 4 Habitat
This year's Bike/Walk 4 Habitat will be Saturday, May 19th. There is a new registration and starting point; the Depot on the Sugar River Bike Trail in New Glarus. For the Bike ride you have 3 choices; 15,30 or 50 mile bike ride, or a 5K walk/fun run from New Glarus Depot Woods and back. We have also added a picturesque motorcycle ride option this year. Registration for bike/walk/fun run will be at 7:30am and take off at 8am. Motorcyclists will sign in at 11am,join us for lunch and head out on your ride thru Southern Wisconsin. Motorcyclists will be eligible for prizes from one of our Sponsors, Kutter Harley Davidson of Monroe & Janesville. Bike/Walk/Run will also be eligible for prizes from local sponsors. Last year we had over 100 riders and 30 walkers, also raising $18,000 plus dollars. We hope to bump that up this year. Last year we had 8 TEAMS of either walkers or riders from local churches and businesses. We hope to top that this year.
